So I had this whole post typed out, hit submit, and it ate the post...
I have some bad news...I'm back.
Here's the breakdown of where I've been, the much shorter version this time.
Moved from Connecticut to Washington for a new job.
Got out here and started to get settled. Around the time I was getting settled, our internet got shutdown due to lack of birthcontrol from one of my roomates parents.
Internet came back and my computer had a serious fucking heat problem. Why? Because teen jesus was mad at me I guess. Same box as in Connecticut, so who knows.
Finally was able to buy the parts for a new computer and UPS decided to hate me and lost my shit (but they found it later).
Computer's together and running EQ now.
I will not be back at my old RA most likely (work surges about once a month and I get to work 12-15 hour days). But it should at least be decent pretty damn quick.
For those of you that don't know me...
I'm a cleric. I think a large part of a cleric's job is to buff, so I don't mind buff requests. Hell, I even spam the raid channels once my hotkeys are set up with "/tell me for cleric buffs". So just to avoid any hurt feelings:
I don't respond to anything in /say. I seldom respond to anything in /gu, /rs, /ooc, /shout, or pretty much anything that isn't group chat or a /tell.
Ask for the buffs that you want. Saying 'Buff me' will get what I feel like buffing you with. You might have 6 versions of spell haste, you never know!
I generally try and check people's buffs on my own. Do NOT ask for a 'refresh' on a buff if you have an hour left on it.
Do not ask for buffs if we're in the process of recovering from a mob that cheated (we lost, temporarily).
Do NOT ask for a buff if we're about to engage. The only exception is a JUST REZZED person or a tank that needs DI.
Ask questions and I'll do my best to answer them. I'm a little rusty, but hopefully I'm back in the saddle again within a few days.
If I refuse to buff you because we're about to engage, or refuse to add you to a bkp shot (if I'm still a bkp person, not sure), please don't take it personally.
Regards,
Aald
P.S. Cere likes the cOck!!
