Moving On

I'm turning in my bunny ears today as I've been accepted in DH as an applicant. I don't know if I'll be able to make the grade with these folks but I did want to give it a try. I've had a lot of fun with Il these past 2 1/2 years and it's with mixed emotions that I bid the guild a fond farewell. It's been very frustrating these past weeks and months since we hit our highpoint last February especially lately when so few folks seem interested in raiding. I remember when we regularly filled the 54-person limit and had folks waiting as well. It has really been a lot of fun hanging with all you people and I'll miss kidding around with y'all but it was time for a change for me. I have mixed emotions about the move as you might imagine but I'll work through that soon enough. This was the only other guild on the server that I'd consider joining so I'll be around to group with you guys off times. It has been a pleasure being a member of IL and the highpoint of my time in EQ. Y'all take good care now and I'll be seeing you around.

Sure, we are still working on Tower and some other SoD raids. I would rather be doing that than becoming a cog in a well oiled wheel. I want to learn to beat events and not be carried along.

Btw Tameron I didn't critisize him at all for moving on. I congratulated IL for getting rid of dead weight. There is a big difference.

GL Sinluan. Hope things work out for ya. No slight towards IL but maybe DH will motivate and teach you better than IL did possibly.

Brue: I think I can respectfully say IL would have been better off if you would have ran the guild without being politically nice to anyone.

At the merger we should have taken over the server. We had more and better people than IL ever had if we had worked harder to keep the quality players and shape up or ship out the others.

Things like changing the BKP system to eqdkp so we could actually modify the system to meet the needs of the guild before it was hacked/crashed whatever.

I found Sinluan to be a very good player, I consider him a friend. I think Bruethor, although an overall good person, is a complete asshat here. If you had a problem with Sinluan all that time ago, you should have said something to him then in person. Bashing him in here, from so far away is inappropriate. If he was dragging us down now, I imagine he had the same problem then. As a leader, it was your job to weed out the non performers.

You were not around then...you wouldn't know. I am very positive this isn't a surprise to him. We shouldn't have pushed him through the app process back in June 07 ><
